Developing vocational experiences for students with developmental disabilities, including youth with complex needs, requires attention and planning to a variety of important areas. Explore the importance of starting early, the relationship between work experiences and self-determination, and making the experiences intentional and authentic leading to paid employment. Gain insights into the importance of collaborating with families and community agencies for successful employment outcomes.
