Join your peers and colleagues at the virtual Opening Session and consider how Innovation Means Partnerships connects with all aspects of people’s lives – from team planning to employment to technology to transitioning from high school to adulthood to community building – and beyond!
Learning Objectives
- Explore the meaning of “Innovation means partnership,” and discover ways to incorporate collaborative principles into daily work.
- Understand how the Innovation Summit will enhance all attendees’ work in the disability community and move the system forward through enhancing advocacy and self-determination skills, team communication, community connections, technology solutions for workforce shortages, and wellness.
- Spark excitement and deepen understanding of how each of us can take actionable steps to educate and raise awareness about the need for systems change.
- Deepen understanding of side-by-side learning in preparation for the Innovation Summit to create collaborative educational opportunities with all partners in the disability system.
Continuing Education
Participants are entitled to two (2.0) hours of continuing professional development units (CPDUs) for the following:
- Adult Services/Day Habilitation
- Investigative Agent (MUI)
- Service and Support Administration
- Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent
- County Board Members
