Transportation plays a critical role in ensuring successful transition outcomes for students with disabilities to live and work in the community as adults. During this session, participants will explore different transportation options, strategies, and considerations for transition planning to ensure youth have access to transportation during and after the transition from high school.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to identify a minimum of one transportation option for transition aged youth.
  • Participants will learn about the importance of discussing transportation planning during the IEP/Transition process.
  • Participants will be able to identify a minimum of one transportation strategy that they can include in a transition aged youths individualized transition plan.
