Paulding County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Paulding DD) is currently supporting employment by matching individuals with businesses based on the needs of the business and the strengths and interests of the individual. Individuals in Paulding County have placements in retail, stocking, clerical, food service, manufacturing, and at the local school district.

Paulding DD also partners with the local Ohio Means Jobs office, Kiwanis, is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and is continuing to develop a relationship with the county economic development department to discuss employment.
Taylor-Made Glass Systems in Payne, Ohio has proven to be a valuable employer in Paulding County. At the end of May, they hired three individuals to polish scratches out of the glass they produce. Prior to these positions, any glass with scratches had to be discarded and the company is saving a significant amount of resources by having individuals complete this work. The individuals who have been hired have found natural supports and are actively involved in professional committees and social aspects of the company.
Building awareness in the community about how individuals with developmental disabilities are a viable workforce option has been a major influence on community employment success. Paulding DD utilizes work adjustment and job development to educate business leaders about the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities.
